Clean technology in general refers to
technologies that have environmental benefits that go
beyond their primary purposes; products and technologies
that create electricity and fuels with a smaller environmental
footprint and technologies that are more resource and
energy efficient and eliminate or reduce harmful emissions
and toxic wastes.
This includes renewable energy sources
such as wind power, solar power, biomass, hydropower and
biofuels. It may also include clean information technology,
green transportation, smart grid technologies and efficient
appliances that include lighting and other sorces that
are more energy and resource efficient. It also includes
green building products and technologies which are both
more energy efficient and environmentally benign.
The following are the general categories
we recognize:
•
Sustainable Transportation
• Water Reclamation
• Water Desalination
• Water Purification
• Smart Grid Technologies
• Biomass
• Energy Efficiency
• Biofuel
• Wind Power
• Solar Energy
