We work closely with the senior management of client companies to understand their vision so as to best communicate the message and achieve the client’s goals.

Team Members

Andrew Haag
Founder and Managing Partner

Andrew has roughly 25 years of finance experience, including over 10 years in the investment banking and brokerage industry and over 5 years as an officer and director of a publicly traded company.

Mr. Haag has provided IR and financial consulting services to public companies for over 2 decades. He has assisted companies in going public through the traditional IPO process and reverse mergers. Additionally, he has successfully helped client companies up-list their shares from OTCBB to National exchanges. Clients and projects he has been a part of have secured $100s of millions in capital. Andrew has played key parts in the corporate structuring, financial development, and growth of companies from the seed stage through the many phases of private and public offerings.

Andrew has served on the Community Advisory Board of the Promises Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses its efforts on helping families of at-risk youth. He is an avid hiker, skier and enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. His core interests include outdoors, natural living and a passion for helping people develop and execute on new ideas.

Robert Haag
Managing Director and Partner

Robert has been active in the brokerage, investment banking and investment management industry in various capacities for almost 20 years. He has set up and managed branch offices for several NASD member firms where he held the Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Based in Asia from 2009-2012, he has held senior positions with an investment fund and investment bank based in Vietnam and also served as Managing Director of Asia for IRTH.  Robert was previously Director of Investments at KMVI, a $500 million plus holding company with interests in private equity, public market companies and real estate in a wide array of industries.  Robert was Managing Director of the NASD member firm of Auerbach, Pollak and Richardson, where he founded the Beverly Hills office and was responsible for managing client assets as well as a team of brokers and support staff.  He also served with NASD member firms of Laidlaw Holdings, Inc. as Vice President of Investments, and at Crary, Onthank and O'Neil as a Managing Director. 

Robert is a passionate world traveler and avid scuba diver.  He has studied Mandarin Chinese for the past 5 years.

Debra Chen
Director of Client Communications

Debra has over a decade of investor relations experience and an expertise in strategic consulting and marketing intelligence. She began her career in the Global Derivatives Group at JP Morgan before serving at Lehman Brothers’ trading desk. Over the years Debra has taken her empirical knowledge of market analysis to advising management teams on strategic positioning and effectively articulating their company stories to the investment community. She has served senior executive positions for some of the largest IR firms in the nation and has managed strategic communications internally for several Nasdaq-listed media companies including You On Demand (Nasdaq: YOD). In addition to having a diverse background in sculpting compelling messaging for various industries including consumer, retail, energy, industrial and media companies, Debra combines her leadership, understanding of the capital markets and relationships with institutional and high net-worth investors to help produce value-enhancing investor relation campaigns. Debra has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance from Binghamton University’s School of Management and has studied Corporate Finance and Investments at Melbourne University in Australia.

Marla Backer
Director of Client Communications

Marla Backer has over 20 years of sell-side research experience, having begun her financial research career at Oppenheimer and Morgan Stanley. She has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" and Institutional Investor's analyst ranking survey. She frequently speaks at industry conferences including the Digital Hollywood forums. Marla founded and ran her own independent research boutique, Research Associates, where she focused on leisure, media and entertainment, with a concentration on the digital media sector. Prior to that, she held senior research positions at Salomon Brothers, ING Barings and Bear Stearns. Marla holds a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College and is also a Masters of Business Administration candidate at New York University.

Chris Camarra
Director of Client Communications

Chris Camarra has more than a decade of experience in managing investor relations and corporate communications programs. Chris has owned his own IR consulting practice as well as worked for other agencies in the industry. His focus is to work with management teams to provide top-notch corporate communications programs and strategic investor advisement. Chris began working for Ernst & Young as member of their finance team. After gaining valuable experience in financial reporting and engagement economics, he moved into the IR arena where he has previously served as an IR point of contact for a consumer goods company as well as a NASDAQ technology corporation. Chris is a graduate from West Virginia University

Anthony Hall
Public Relations Associate

Anthony is an expert in public relations, social media and marketing. He has experience working for non-profit and for profit companies. Previous to joining IRTH Communications, he worked at Noyd Communications, a boutique Public Relations & Marketing firm in Manhattan Beach that specialized in the consumer electronics industry. He worked with VIZIO, America’s leading provider of HDTVs, as well as top leaders in high-end electronics including Stewart Filmscreen, Westone, Krell amongst others. He has secured top media placements for his clients in leading publications and has been a part of many successful product launches. He has helped his clients win numerous product awards over the years. Over the course of his career he has fine-tuned his ability to identify opportunities and increase brand awareness while maintaining the highest integrity for his clients. Anthony has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).       

Teresa Kunz
Controller

Teresa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public company accounting and finance. She handles the financial operations of IRTH Communications and also consults with our clients when appropriate.

Todd Markey
Director of Institutional Outreach

As Director of Institutional Outreach, Todd is responsible for developing road shows with professional investors and facilitating conference support for the IRTH’s clients with the goal of growing relationships with institutional investors, investment banks, and key Wall Street principals. He has assisted dozens of clients in increasing their exposure to the investment community and served as a senior executive helping to expand his prior firm’s network, brand and profile.  Todd financial experience also includes the real estate sector with a focus on commercial and residential lending.  He studied corporate finance at California State University, Northridge. Dan Clark
Graphic Designer

Dan Clark is a Graphic Artist/Presentation Designer with over 25 years of experience working in the fields of Finance, Marketing, Advertising and Entertainment. He has worked on a freelance basis with many companies in New York and Los Angeles including Merrill Lynch, American Express, Toyota and Comcast creating everything from complex financial booklets to large scale multi-media presentations.

Matt Sanderson
Media Relations Specialist

Matt has been a communications professional and digital media producer for nearly 10 years. He has spent the majority of his career in news media, and reached various career milestones while working as an editor for AOL's start-up Patch Media, including garnering some of the highest web statistics and audience engagement in the company. Matt has covered dozens of major breaking news events. He has been published in the L.A. Times, among several other outlets, and he has a growing interest in social media marketing and consulting, which has included working with a boutique L.A. based PR firm. Prior to joining IRTH, Matt was an editor for a United Business Media, a b2b brand that covers the pharmaceutical packaging and medical device industry, including working industry trade shows. Matt has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of New Hampshire.

Jessie Levine
Media Relations Specialist

Jessie has an extensive background in journalism and public relations to bring to the table at IRTH. Most recently, she was the Associate Editor for Eater Denver, an online publication about food and dining, for over two years. She also worked as a public relations professional for one year managing large-scale publicly owned construction projects with the Colorado Department of Transportation. Prior to that, she worked as a public relations professional and journalist in the beer industry. Jessie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jessie is an avid reader and writer and is passionate about good journalism and public relations.

Annie Alexander
Media Relations Specialist

Annie is a recent graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She has experience in different mediums of media and social media from summer internships and recently moved across the country to start a career in media. She also completed two study abroad programs in college, including one in Paris where she studied International Business and Marketing.
